art bag contents

"The Art Journal" Yahoo Group started talking about taking your journals on a trip, and that lead to queries about what is in our art bags, so I have photographed my travelling art bag.
It includes a rollup art case with all range of markmaking supplies in it, including rubbers and sharpener, glue pen, and paintbrushes with water tanks. Also magazines for collage images, plastic folder with collage images and ephemera in it, tinted charcoal pencils, tinted graphite pencils, watersoluble coloured pencils, watersoluble crayons, souffle pens, sharp craft scissors, double-sided tape, punchinella, art rag, digital camera.
My favourite things at the moment are probably the watersoluble crayons and the Sakura Souffle Pens. Everyone knows that I love my Souffle Pens!!! They are so brilliant for doodling over journals!! The watersoluble crayons because you can draw them on then smooth them out with water, then draw over the top again, then smooth out again.

I never thought about taking magazines for imagery ... I could pack a National Geo or 2 without adding too much weight! We do so much hiking that I don't want to be toting items I never use. I forgot to say I always carry a roll of double sided tape, too, on my ArtJournal post.

Oh....I'm just drooling over your art bag!! :-) I must confess, I don't really have one. I don't leave my bungalow much and don't have a car. I take the bus. But...if I DID have an art bag....it would be an awful lot like yours!! LOVE those souffle pens too!! Thanks for sharing your goodie bag!!

I would not be exaggerating if I said that this is VERY VERY similar to my own bag with the exception of no zines but a book on journaling and a huge sketch journal :-)

I love looking at people's art bags! Like to see what they carry around and I love just seeing what the bag looks like. I'm still looking for that ultimate bag. Your contents look very yummy!

Glad to know someone else who can profess a good love of souffle (pens). Me, too. The glaze ink is hard to resist. :-)))

After seeing your "art bag" I am wondering why I don't have one of those. I am always throwing together a bunch of stuff to take with me. This is so much more...

Thanks for sharing. It is like looking in neighbors windows as you take your walk. We just like to see what others do. I use many of the same things. I also have a small pencil bag with a graphite pencil, two sizes of markers, a white Gel and a few other little odds and ends for "light days." On my trip to Wash. I put my Neocolor II watersoluable crayons in a scrapbooking plastic picture container and it worked perfect.
