Not very good really, but at least it is more than the average 6! I will try to return to this entry and update it every now and then. I know that I have direct access in my house or my parent's house to another 16 of these books, so I have no excuse! I have to get reading to see why they are on the list.
Please post a link in the comments section to your blog entry if you carry on the challenge yourself.

My Little Book of Love
Well, decided to add a post while I am waiting for gel to dry on an artwork. This is a tiny wee art journal I have started, almost in jest, just to get me collaging and journalling. The book measures a magnificent 7cm x 7cm. That makes a double page layout of 14cm x 7cm. I picked up a pile of these little books from "The $2 Shop" (that is NZ $2). They are cheaply made with corrugated cardboard wrapped with fabric for the covers and cheap handmade paper inside. But with a little gesso magic they are ready for art. I named this one "My Little Book of Love" and am filling it with little spreads showing things that I love. So far there is Angels, Coffee and Art. Definately 3 of my top faves! I will post extra pages as I manage to complete them.

Wild Books

Operation "Create" is progressing nicely! Blog number three is happening. Not that there is a lot of creativity in the blogging, but small steps I say. My new peice of art is a mixed media collage tweaked on the computer. I loved the quote by Virginia Woolf about wild books and it went from there. I think I will use quotes and "Illustration Friday" challenges to initiate my art at the moment. They are open enough to get you thinking but closed enough to keep you on a single tack. My problem at the moment with art is too much swirling around in my head all the time and then everything gone when I go to put something on paper! I think small topics, small art and small chunks of time will be best for me at the moment. Concentrate on doing art more regularly but not necessarily for a long length of time. I've started doing a 4 week drawing course to get that part of me moving productively again - hope it goes well!
