Life is so funny!
I went for my (fairly recently) regular pastime of walking the limestone pathway down the river and around the coastline of our town yesterday, and I stopped at my regular resting place down on the stoney shoreline (no sand on our local beach!). My son's mp3 player had just gone dead, and I didn't bring a book, so I stared at all the stones on the beach where I sat. I thought to myself "it would be cool to find an interesting shaped stone." I looked, and there, just sitting there, was this gorgeous little heart shaped stone! It is just so perfectly a heart that I had to bring it home and treasure it!
Now I have to decide how to put it in some suitable artwork that will do it justice!! Any suggestions?

lovely
Id love to see what you decide to do with it
This may not be the answer you want, but I would keep it as it is!! But then I have a glass jar full of different pebbles, that I have collected .I would love to find a heart shaped one, how cool!
Trop mignon, cette pierre en forme de coeur...
Porte-chance !
Now that's serendipity at work!
I'd keep it as is too. Perhaps put it on your altar (if you have one) or just in a pretty dish. I put glass and stones in little dipping dishes and place them near plants, etc.
The photo is beautiful. perhaps you could print cards from the image.
Oh lovely stone. I would wrap it with wire and hang it on a pendant to wear - so as to remind me of the peace and tranquility of that day :)
What perfect manifestation! I usually take things like that as a message from the Divine, and what better item for such a message than a heart-shaped stone.
Why not make it a focal image in a shrine?
I'm off to my local Iron Age beach to see what I can spring up now.
What a beautiful stone heart... I will be at the beach tomorrow... and hopefully find some treasures as well... Roxanne
This is too wonderful!!! How big is it?? Could you do some sort of 3D thing with a human head and torso and put the heart inside their chest? Just a weird idea from another self-taught mixed media artist!! By the way....HOWDY!! I've been meaning to search for you!! I found a comment of yours on someone else's blog! Don't know if you remember me! We were members of the same Yahoo art group, but I had to leave! Hope we can stay in touch!! :-)
