Total Read= 13

Not very good really, but at least it is more than the average 6! I will try to return to this entry and update it every now and then. I know that I have direct access in my house or my parent's house to another 16 of these books, so I have no excuse! I have to get reading to see why they are on the list.

Please post a link in the comments section to your blog entry if you carry on the challenge yourself.

I'm right there with you MM - 13. Not great but better than the average. I can't believe the average is only 6! Do they not require reading in English class anymore?

I've read 55 of them, am reading one, and have 10 more on my reading list.

A large number of these books are required reading for English literature classes, so it surprises me that people only read six of them on average.

great link! I love reading, but haven't done as much the last few years since art took over, lol!
I went through the list and have read 24 of them, not bad I guess.

I kept wondering if I saw the movie or read the book on several of these which is crazy. I had to read a lot for English advanced placement in high school, but don't remember them because I had to read them so fast and then take a test. :(

Thanks for sharing that list. It was interesting to see that I have read 33 of them. I am an avid reader though. I posted mine on my blog.

I've managed 13 too! but there are two on the list that I would like to have as audio books, one that I have started (and will finish!), several I've started and not finished (Dickens - can't get into him for some reason ... despite trying). Confused that Shakespeare appears twice! Have read several of his works but will never manage both.

Interesting post!

We can only read so many at a time, which is a problem;-)It is better to read some of them than none at all. Just keep reading. I did the list on my blog too!

Great Job! I too have to read another from this list.

I have read 79 of them. Wow that is pretty scary isn't it. But... I love to read.. does seeing the play or movie count? I would have a couple extra like Les Miserable - great musical. I just like to read.

I've read 16 of these! Probably would have read more, a lot of them were required for English in High School but I was in the AP (college level) classes so we read different books. I should copy this list and put it on my list of never ending amount of books to read :)
